WFH doesn’t have to be a distraction!

Hey Feel Good fam!

It’s crazy to think that I’ve been working from home for 8 years now. Throughout those years, I have learned so much about productivity, prioritizing, and how to make sure that you’re not distracted. It’s not always easy but I’ve found that these specific tips really help:

  • Get ready for work. Nobody feels productive when they’re in their PJs
  • Don’t push yourself too hard. It sounds so counter-intuitive but this is your reminder to take breaks and set hard boundaries about when to stop work!
  • Switch up your environment. I’ll work at the dining table, at a cafe, on the couch—anywhere but my desk just to switch it up
  • Try to accomplish 3 healthy habits a day. Protecting the parts of my calendar that’s dedicated to the healthy habits, the ones that help me grow and feel refreshed has helped me stay more focused when it’s time to work
  • Pick one major goal to accomplish per day. It’s easy to look at your never ending to do list and think I HAVE TO DO EVERYTHING. But think about the 80/20 rule. 20% of the work you do produces 80% of the results. What’s that 20%?
  • Get out of the house. When you’re feeling stuck and distracted, take a quick walk or just go outside for a bit. Get some fresh air and some much-needed time away from your desk. I promise you’ll feel more refreshed when you get back.

Beautiful, personalized notebooks. Besides my Paper Republic journal covers that I don’t leave the house without, I’ve recently fallen back in love with Papier notebooks. They have a ton of beautiful designs and they even let you personalize the notebooks with your initials or your name. I’m currently using this one for my bullet journal.

The best book on building a personal brand. I recently finished You Are The Brand by Mike Kim and omg this is THE book to read if you’re looking to build a personal brand. Having a personal brand can be helpful both in your career and in your personal life. Would highly recommend this read.

See you in your inbox next week!
